Lais Fortaleza

Founder & Chief Executive Owner (CEO)

Laís has been a Constitutional Law professor for years in Brazil and has worked with grant writing and nonprofits there. She then moved to Boston in 2014 to pursue a dual master's degree in Public Administration and another in Political Science. She started working as a fundraiser and now is a philanthropy officer at Oxfam America.

Laís believes in human rights and has fought for them her whole life. That was her incentive to create DrivHer; she wanted to make sure that women and minorities could have a safe and relaxed ride home no matter what. No surprise elements and some amenities to make the ride even more pleasurable. Our mantra is safety first and comfort right after.
